SCOUTIQ / LEGAL

COPYRIGHT & DMCA

Effective July 27, 2026 · Last updated July 27, 2026

ScoutIQ hosts film uploaded by its users. We respect copyright and respond to valid notices. This page explains how to report material you believe infringes your rights, and how to dispute a removal.

01WHO OWNS WHAT

Users keep ownership of the film they upload. Uploading it does not transfer it to ScoutIQ.

By uploading, a user confirms they have the right to use that film. Game film is often owned by a school, league, or broadcaster — if you are not sure you have permission, get it before uploading.

ScoutIQ owns the software, the grading system, and the reports it generates, but not your underlying footage.

02REPORTING INFRINGEMENT

Send a notice to support@officialscoutiq.com with the subject line "DMCA Notice". To be actionable, include:

(1) identification of the copyrighted work you claim was infringed; (2) the specific URL or enough detail for us to locate the material; (3) your name, address, telephone number, and email; (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law; (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for them; and (6) your physical or electronic signature.

Incomplete notices slow things down. Knowingly false claims of infringement can carry liability.

03HOW WE RESPOND

We review valid notices promptly and remove or disable access to the material where appropriate.

We notify the user who uploaded it and give them the notice so they can respond.

We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

04COUNTER-NOTICE

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address.

Include the material and its location before removal, your contact details, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district.

We may restore the material if the original complainant does not pursue the matter within the period allowed by law. Questions about this page go to support@officialscoutiq.com.
